Editors that ran on GEC Computers mini-computers
GEC Family Editors:
Text editors:
- ECCE - Reimplementation of Edinburgh Compatible Context Editor in [Babbage] for [GEC 4000 Series], but not available outside of GEC Computers.
- EDIT - Very basic line editor, forward motion only. Commands were allegedly based on an older Elliott Brothers paper tape editor.
- GEDIT - Superset of the ICL George editor. Written by Dave Toll of Atlas Computing Centre.
- PAGE - Screen editor written by Mike John of NET-TEL Computer Systems Ltd.
- SALVE - Screen editor implementation of ECCE (also available outside GEC Computers)
- WS - Screen editor written by Rutherford Appleton Laboratory.

- DOCU - Used to format the System Generation documentation
- DORMAT - Allegedly based on IBM's Format. Written by Dr A Colin Day of University College London.
- RUNOFF - Written/ported by Atlas Computing Centre.
