Primarily typed command lines but with full-screen feedback; some commands had immediate effect but it was easy to drop out of 'immediate mode' back into ECCE command-line mode. The author of this editor has occassionally said that he somewhat lost his focus with this code; his earlier command-line only editor, ECCE, was unsurpassed. Even by his own code.
A redesign of a Video ecce (called VIDE) is currently underway and will be released soon.
