TSO/E (Time Sharing Option / Extended) is an interactive command processor available on IBM's z/OS operating system. '''Author:''' IBM '''Homepage:''' http://www.ca.com/us/products/Product.aspx?ID=1482 '''Family:''' MainframeEditorFamily '''Platform:''' MVS, z/OS '''License:''' Commercial TSO/E contains a line-mode text editor called EDIT. After invoking the editor, commands can be used to move from line to line, list portions of the file being edited, change text, search for strings, etc. The editor does not display the file contents unless the LIST command is used to do so. EDIT is often used in REXX or CLIST scripts to apply well-defined changes to files, but for making more dynamic changes, ISPF/PDF is generally used. The "EDIT command" section of the [[https://www.ibm.com/servers/resourcelink/svc00100.nsf/pages/zOSV2R4SA320975/$file/ikjc500_v2r4.pdf TSO/E Command Reference]] manual describes its use.
