Twin was Roger Wilson's entry in the Acorn "Editor Wars" (see under [[COED]].) '''Author:''' Roger Wilson '''Homepage:''' '''Family:''' '''Platform:''' BBC Micro '''License:''' This 8-bit micro editor was influenced by several of its contemporaries and also by Mark of the Unicorn's EMACS which Acorn ran on their BSD Vax. It was the EMACS influence which was responsible for the feature which gave the editor its name, Twin. It was easy to handle a split screen, with either split buffers, two text files, or a text file and a compilation window. Of course it was also tightly integrated into BBC Basic. I think a derivation of this editor ran on the ARM processor as well, under the Arthur environment. I don't remember if it made it in to the RISC/OS version.
