The X2 editor by BlairThompson is very similar to the IbmEditorFamily of editors. '''Author:''' Blair W. Thompson '''Homepage:''' http://www.tangbu.com/#/home '''Family:''' IbmEditorFamily '''Platform:''' Windows, Unix, Linux, Linux for zSeries, OS/2, DOS, AIX, Sun Solaris, HP-UX '''License:''' Freeware It uses the CUA function key mapping, which works well with PC keyboards. The keymaps are very similar to SlickEdit and other members of the family. The key mapping is customizable. In UNIX-like systems, both terminal and X11 versions are available. The X2 Editor was derived from Tim Baldwin's XE sample editor. Extensive modifications have been made to the functionality and internal workings of the editor, but the author is indebted to Tim for sharing the original source code. Uses Rexx as a macro language.
